Consultant with expertise in Gender Transformative Approach and Andragogy
Overview
Rutgers, an NGO dedicated to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights, has a set of 6 GTA (Gender Transformative Approach) Modules, of which the first provides the theoretical underpinnings of the other modules. With the support of several of its international programmes, among which Right Here Right Now (RHRN) and Generation Gender (GenG), Rutgers is currently in the process of updating the first module of its GTA series. The primary aim of this update is to integrate the latest evidence-based gender research while enhancing the module’s applicability and inclusiveness. This includes strengthening practical guidance for implementation, drawing on experiential learning. Several rounds of revisions have already been carried out by Rutgers staff, also drawing on insights from focus group discussions with both external users of the Module and internal colleagues. The current phase focuses on refining and finalizing the module based on this feedback, ensuring it is practical, accessible, and relevant for diverse facilitators and implementing partners.

Background
About Rutgers
Rutgers has worked with young people on sexual and reproductive rights for more than 50 years. In 29 countries, we work on sexuality education and information, access to contraception and safe abortion and the prevention of sexual and gender-based violence. At Rutgers, we talk about sexuality openly, positively and practically. We want young people to be free to enjoy their sexuality and relationships while respecting the rights of others in a gender-inclusive society. Our mission is to connect, support and engage with young people and those around them to make this a reality. Learn more at Rutgers.International.
